MJ first became interested in yoga in 1978. She is a certified yoga teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance (YACEP - Continuing Education Provider) and the Canadian Yoga Alliance. She trained as a yoga teacher at the Discovery Centre in Ancaster in 1997, and began teaching weekly yoga classes in Tillsonburg. She has furthered her study of yoga at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts, the Esther Myers Studio in Toronto and since 2006 she has studied with Todd Norian in the Ashaya method.
MJ opened Yoga Studio Tillsonburg in 2008. Her yoga classes reflect her love of nature and life and she draws on both as a source of inspiration for her teaching. Her classes and retreats are a light hearted integration of attention to physical alignment and celebration of the heart. Each student is invited to experience yoga practice from a place of personal connection and appreciation.
Along with weekly classes MJ also leads yoga retreats in Ontario and Barbados.
Linda is a certified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT200). She has a gentle and loving presence and believes that yoga nurtures our spirit as well as our bodies. Linda's Thursday afternoon open hearted Beginner class reflects this belief.
Dawn has been teaching yoga for 4 years and practicing for over 10. Her alignment based approach allows students to embody a practice both on and off the yoga mat. Dawn uses her life experiences to bring humour as well as life lessons into her teachings.
Dawn believes yoga is available to each person, to be experienced uniquely by each individual.
Mandy is a certified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT200) and is passionate about sharing yoga as a means of awakening one's inner healer and deepest potential. Mandy uses the breath to guide students into movement, into their bodies and into their own hearts. Mandy teaches a heartfelt Saturday morning class and substitutes for the other teachers in our Studio whenever we can get her!
Paul is a certified yoga teacher and describes himself as a husband, father, educator and yogi. Trained in 2010 at Nosara Institute, Paul offers a yoga class uniquely designed for men. He believes that yoga brings forth strength and grace in every individual.
